Most properties' EPCs will be charged at £65, VAT-free

Wirral EPCs offer a prompt, personal and professional service providing EPCs mainly to vendors and landlords living on the Wirral peninsula. By serving only the local community, travel time is minimised and fees remain competitive. We recognise that EPCs are offered for less, on line, by panels who use business models as below:
BUSINESS MODEL No 1
A company employs Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) on a PAYE basis and pays the DEA a basic salary. To justify his basic salary the DEA has to meet targets, say 5 EPCs per day over a large geographical area. To earn a higher salary the DEA has to exceed the target. How? By working faster. i.e. spending less time on site. In our opinion, even using PDAs, the unfortunate DEA cannot achieve higher targets without cutting corners. Do you really want an EPC from a company using this business model?
Answer: Choose an independent local DEA to provide your EPC
BUSINESS MODEL No 2
A company advertises cheap EPCs nationwide. It claims to employ hundreds, if not
thousands of DEAs nationwide. It gets an order for an EPC. It sends out a mass
e-mail inviting quotes from DEAs. DEAs bid against each other and the lowest bid
gets the job. The company pockets the difference as the bid is even lower than
the price quoted to the end user, which is already low, say £36 + VAT. Do you really
want an EPC from a company using this business model?
Answer: Choose an independent local DEA to provide your EPC
BUSINESS MODEL No 3
A company employs just one qualified and accredited (CRB checked, insured, etc) DEA. The company sends an unqualified person to carry out the energy survey on the property. This involves the recording of data and taking photographs as supporting evidence. The data is given to the one qualified DEA in the company who lodges the certificate. With this model, the name on the certificate is not the name of the person who visited your property! Do you really want an EPC from a company using this business model?
Answer: Choose an independent local DEA to provide your EPC
Legally, an EPC is valid for 10 years (in truth, Wirral EPCs regard this as inappropriate!)
Isn't £65 good value for a certificate that is valid for 10 years?
